Meghalaya State Council condoles Bardhan’s death

SHILLONG: Meghalaya State Council of CPI has condoled the death of  A.B. Bardhan, former  General  Secretary of CPI on Sunday. The State CPI said that his death was a great loss not only to CPI but also for the entire left movement of which he was a leading personality.
His simple way of living, moral conviction and spirit to fight for the downtrodden had earned him wide respect from all quarters, the statement said. To pay respect to the departed leader, the party flag remained half mast until his funeral.
