Shillong Lajong adds 3 young talents for I-League

Shillong:  Shillong Lajong Football Club has signed defenders — Aibanbha Kupar Dohling & Konsham Chinglensana Singh and forward — Milan Basumatary for the upcoming session.
Aiban, who hails from Sohra (Cherrapunjee), normally plays in the right back position. He started his football career as a teenager with Shillong Lajong FC in the Academy. Then he moved to Tata Football Academy (Jamshedpur) in 2011 and is now delighted to come back to Shillong to play for the Reds.
Hailing signing of Aiban, head coach Thangboi Singto said, “Determination, tenacity and commitment are his Forte.”
6’1-feet-tall Manipuri lad K. Chinlensana played in the Under 15 Team of Mahindra United in the MUPC Cup in 2010. He played for Air India for few years before joining Tata Football Academy in 2012.
The Skilful defender was also part of the India U-19 Squad that travelled to China for an exposure trip and played against Clubs like Shanghai 2000 and the China U-17 and U-19 Teams.
On bringing Konsham Chinglensana to the Club, the head coach said, “We found him to be the best upcoming talented defender from North East.”
Milan Basumatary hails from Assam and started his football in Kokrajhar Football Academy. He can play as a striker or an attacking midfielder. He then moved to SAI Academy in Kokrajhar and was picked up by the AIFF at the age of 15 to be trained in their Elite Academy located in Goa. He went on to play for the academy up to the age of 19 where he has won Under 19 I-League and gained many experiences playing in international tournaments and exhibition matches.
With the signing of these players, Shillong Lajong has added more depth and talent in the squad for the upcoming I-league  season.
