Magic show promise turns into nightmare

SHILLONG: A promised magic show has turned out to be a nightmare for a person who was abducted by miscreants.
According to police, one Md. Manik Uddin lodged a complaint on January 2 that on December 30, one Md. Sofiqul Islam invited him for a magic show at Kokaimari Haribanga in West Garo Hills, and on reaching at the place as many as 6 persons armed with pistols and daggers abducted him to a nearby jungle and confined him for three days.
Later, they demanded Rs. 15 lakh  from his son as ransom for his release. However, on January  2 morning, the victim managed to escape.
