Cantt Board continues demolition drive

SHILLONG: The Shillong Cantonment Board authorities continued their demolition drive at Jhalupara here for the second consecutive day on Thursday.
The affected people, meanwhile, met the Meghalaya Governor, who assured them to take up the matter with the GOC.
Attempts were made by the residents to meet the CEO of the Cantonment Board but to no avail.
It has been learnt that the demolition drive will continue on Friday as well.
