Two arrested for illegal mining

SHILLONG: Acting on inputs, a team of East Garo Hills Police on Tuesday rushed to Rongrenggre Reserve Forest in the district and arrest two persons involved in illegal mining of coal.
110 sacks of coal, one Bolero pick-up (AS-19C-8180), one Auto (ML-08-5070), coal extracting implements, two cell phones and wearing apparels were seized from their possession of the duo identified as Rastar Ch. Momin (23) and Pittingstone D Sangma, alias Tinggang.
