State’s corpus fund hiked

SHILLONG: The State Cabinet on Wednesday decided to hike the State’s corpus contingency fund from Rs.105 crore to Rs.305 crore.
Chief Minister Mukul Sangma said since only Rs.2.9 crore was left with the government out of the corpus fund of Rs.105 crore the Cabinet decided to hike the corpus by Rs.200 crore to continue fund flow to the various departments.
He said that the corpus contingency fund will be available till March 31, 2016 and the approval will be made through an ordinance since Assembly is not in session.
