Scooter rider killed in road mishap in Jowai

SHILLONG: One scooter rider died on the spot after the two-wheeler was hit by a sumo at Jowai on the night of January 20. The Tata Sumo (ML-04A-6867) was driven by Richanki Pale while the scooter (AS-01AK-3544) was being driven by Rikylang Dkhar (21).
The scooter rider died on the spot while two pillion riders sustained injuries and were removed to Norman Tunnel Hospital, Jowai. The cadaver was shifted to Jowai Civil Hospital for postmortem.
