PIB campaign
The Press Information Bureau, Govt. of India, Shillong in collaboration with other Central Media Units and District Administration, East Khasi Hills will conduct Public Information Campaign at Smit Village from January 28 to 30.
Meghalaya Governor, V Shanmuganathan will inaugurate the campaign while Social Welfare Minister, Deborah Marak will be the chief guest.
Child Rights
A One-day training programme on Child Rights and Child Protection for District Child Protection Unit, Shelter Home, Children’s Home and functionaries of Child Care Institutions will be organized by the Department of Social Welfare under Integrated Child Protection Scheme on January 29 at Yojana Bhavan, Main Secretariat, Shillong at 10 am.
Competition  
Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, Central Ground Water Board, State Unit Office Shillong will organize a State Level Painting Competition on January 29 at Anton Hall, Don Bosco Point, Laitumkhrah Shillong from 10.30 am.
Condolence meet
The Shillong Bar Association held a condolence meeting on January 27 in the Shillong Bar premises to condole the death of J.S Khongmalai, an advocate who expired on January 25. The meeting recollected the contribution made by J.S Khongmalai. A one- minute silence was observed as a mark of respect.
