Minor’s abduction case
Agnes Kharshiing lodged a complaint against one Masan Rymbai of Sawlad Madanrting for harbouring criminals by renting his house to tenants without verifying their antecedents resulting in the abduction of a fifteen year old girl on January 17 by one Sabir Ahmed.
Road damaged
The Executive Engineer, PWD (Roads), NEC Division, Khliehriat lodged a complaint that on January 24 at around 11 pm, miscreants in a JCB (number not known) damaged the newly constructed Moopala-Sutnga bye-pass road (EJH).
Woman injured
On January 28 at around 10.30 am, one Maruti Alto car (ML-06-4827) driven by  one Tenilius Mawlieh knocked down one Phida Thabah (21) at 3rd Mile, Upper Shillong. The victim sustained injuries and was removed to Shillong Civil Hospital.
Attempted burglary
One Sanjay Sharma lodged a complaint that on January 27 one  Robi Lyngdoh (22) broke the lock of his house at Lower Jail Road. Police arrested the accused.
Theft in advocate’s chamber
On January 27 at around 5.45 pm, miscreants stole Rs.9000 from the purse of   Vyblue Rest Mawlieh, from her advocate chamber at Qualapatty, Shillong.
ATM fraud
Shimtilang Khongwar lodged a complaint that on Jan 26, she received a phone call  where the caller identified himself as SBI official asked for her ATM details. On January 27, she received a text message that Rs. 36,509 has been debited from her SBI account.
