Tura ISBT ready

SHILLONG: Construction work on the inter-state bus terminus (ISBT) at Tura has been completed and the ISBT is now all set for inauguration.
Informing this on Friday, Urban Affairs Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh asserted that all the work has been completed.
Lyngdoh said she would visit the ISBT for an inspection and accordingly set a date for its inauguration.
Transport Minister H.D.R. Lyngdoh had inspected the site a few months back to check the progress of the project.
The Centre had sanctioned Rs.45 crore for the project    which covers 90 per cent of the total cost, while the NBCC is bearing the remaining 10 per cent.
The proposed ISBT would accommodate 50 buses plying to and from all corners of the State to Tura.
Meanwhile, work for the Shillong ISBT which is scheduled to come up at Mawiong has also begun.
