Fraudulent online transaction
One Miani Dalbot Shira of Holy Cross Hospital Road, Tura (WGH) lodged a complaint that on January 28, unknown miscreants fraudulently made online transaction of Rs 39,923 from her account at HDFC Bank, Police Bazar Branch.
Accident
On February  5, at around 11 am, one Maruti car (ML-05H-0902) driven by Krishna Hajong dashed against one Maruti Alto (ML-12-0500) driven by Barister Lyngkhoi at Mawphlang  (EKH).  As a result, occupants of the Maruti car sustained injuries and were shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong.
Body of new born recovered
On February 5 afternoon, body of a newborn baby was recovered from near Umiam Lake. Necessary formalities were observed.
Police assault  
One Md. Zahid Alam lodged a complaint that on February 5 at around 9.30 pm, one unidentified police personnel assaulted him at Police Reserve Gate, Shillong.
Bike stolen
On February 5 night, miscreants stole one motorcycle (AS-01-BD-9895) from 9th Mile Baridua (RiBhoi).
Money stolen
On the night of February 4, miscreants stole Rs 7,000 from the shop of one Stabiliancy Hynniewta at Lachumiere.
NGT ban violation
On February  4, at around 5.30 am, police intercepted one Tata truck (AS-18C-0299) driven by Sader Ali and his accomplice , Masten M Sangma, while illegally transporting coal in violation of NGT order at Samanda, East Garo Hills.
Assault cases
One Robertson Basan (39) of Dommawlein village, South West Khasi Hills lodged a complaint that on February 3, at around 3 pm, one Khraw Lartang along with others assaulted him. The victim sustained injuries and was shifted to PHC Dangar.
A woman identified as  Elmie Arengh lodged a complaint that on December  8, last year, Rokendro Ch Marak and his accomplices assaulted her husband  Matgrikra R Marak at Upper Babupara, Tura (WGH), causing injuries to him.
One brought dead
On February 2, at around 1 am, City patrol party found one unidentified male person (35/40) lying unconscious at Mawlongha. He was shifted to CH Shillong where the attending Medical Officer declared him brought dead.
Body recovered
On February 2, body of one Laleswar Mazumdar was recovered from a pond near Mirjhumla under Monabari out post, South West Garo Hills.
