SHILLONG: In continuation of its Golden Jubilee Year Celebration, the Border Security Force (BSF) organized a cultural evening titled “Shaam-E-Ghazal” at St. Anthony College, Shillong on Saturday.
Renowned Gazal singer Md Imran Khan performed before the audience and there were classical and folk dance performances including the jazz band of Border Security Force, students’ performances from Border Security Force (BSF) School.
Gagan Jain, Director of Sikkim Manipal University, Shillong who was the guest of honour on the occasion of Shaam-E-Ghazal inaugurated the musical and cultural evening.
Prizes were distributed to the performers by the chief guest and inspector general Border Security Force (BSF) frontier.
Sudesh Kumar, IPS IG Border Security Force (BSF), Meghalaya Frontier informed that Border Security Force (BSF) has organized a series of cultural programmes at Indian Institute of Management, IIM Shillong, NEHU, St. Anthony College, NEIGRIHMS, St. Edmund’s College, Lady Keane College, Shillong on the eve of BSF Golden Jubilee Year 2015. The chief guest, Sudesh Kumar, IPS IG Border Security Force (BSF), Meghalaya Frontier also expressed his happiness over the success of the programme.
Special guest S. K. Jain, Special DG of Police (SB/CID), and local dignitaries along with Border Security Force officers, subordinate officers, Jawans and their families were also present on the occasion of Shaam-E-Ghazal among the other audience.
