CSWO files FIR against admin

SHILLONG: CSWO president Agnes Kharshiing has filed a police complaint against the East Khasi Hills district administration and authorities of Arts & Culture Department for playing loud music at the State Central Library premises violating Supreme Court order.
The state government had organized a get together as part of the culmination of the 12th South Asian Games on Monday evening on the library premises.
A case has been registered in this connection.
The complaint lodged by Kharshiing at 11 pm of February 15 at Sadar police station said that between 9 pm and 10.30 pm, district administration of East Khasi Hills and authorities of Arts & Culture Department, Meghalaya violated the order dated July  18, 2015 passed by the Supreme Court of India by using PA system which can be heard a distance of 1 ½ km away from the State Centre Library, disturbing the patients of Civil Hospital, the students appearing for  examinations and the aged persons.
