SHILLONG: The valedictory function of the 10-day workshop on the “Training of Trainers on Reproductive Health and Life Skills Education for Youth”, which began on February 8 ended on Thursday.
A total of 26 faculty from MLCU and staff from NEN participated in this workshop which dealt with the various aspects of life skills like positive body image, self awareness, assertiveness, communication skills, peer pressure along with to sensitising the teaching faculty on reproductive health.
The function was attended by resource persons from Enfold Proactive Health Trust, Bangalore, Dr. Sangeeta Saksena and Joseph P Dominick, including the vice chancellor of MLCU, RG Lyngdoh, registrar MLCU, DD Ingty and other participants.
Ibasara Thabah, faculty of Social Work Dept. MLCU said everybody can play a role in trying to help the victims of sexual abuse. Certificates were also handed over to the participants.
