Constable injured
On February 18 at around 4.30 am, one unidentified vehicle dashed against one scooty (A/F) ridden by constable K.G Momin of East Khasi Hills, DEF at Lumdiengjri.  As a result, the scooty rider sustained injuries and was shifted to Civil Hospital.
Theft at archery counter
On February 18 noon unknown miscreants broke into the archery counter of one Devi Pradhan at Iewduh, Shillong and stole cash Rs. 20,000.
Shop burgled  
On February 18 noon, unknown miscreants broke into the stationery shop belonging to one Byaspia Syngkrem at Iewduh, and stole cash Rs. 6,000.
Fire engulfs go down   
On February 18 at around 8.30 am, a fire broke out in the godown of one Ajay Shah at Lumsohphoh, Mawprem.  As a result, property valued around Rs. 2 lakh was damaged. However, no loss of human life was reported.
School office vandalized
On February 17 at around 2 am, unknown miscreants broke into Glakyn Academy Higher Secondary School, Pohkseh, Shillong and vandalized the school office.
 Hospital solar heater stolen  
On February 15 at around 11.30 pm, unknown miscreants stole GI pipes and solar water heater from Civil Hospital Williamnagar (EGH).
Iron rods stolen
Fr. Sunny Augustine, SJ, Principal, Loyola College lodged a complaint that on February 15 at around 12.30 am, unknown miscreants stole five bundles of iron rods weighing around 375 kgs and one water pump, from the construction site of ladies hostel at Williamnagar (EGH).
Body found hanging
On February 13, body of one Barniet Pohthmi was found hanging from a tree in a jungle at Labiang (West Jaintia Hills. The deceased was reportedly missing since February 8 this year.
