BSF organises civic action programme cum medical camp

SHILLONG:   As part of Border Management Plan, a civic action programme cum medical camp was organized by the BSF at Chichingpara in South West Garo Hills on February 19.
During the programme, sports items (Football, Football net, Volley Ball net, uniform, pen and school bags), water storage tank, sewing Machine, umbrella, torch light, clothing items and medicines were distributed to the  local villagers in the presence of Aseem Vyas, DIG SHQ BSF, Tura.
Various measures being taken by the BSF for the welfare of border population were brought out including Border Area Development Projects awaiting execution shortly in the area.
This was one of the many efforts Border Security Force has been taking to better the condition of needy border population. PRO BSF has intimated that sentinels of border will organize many more such programme in future too.
