Khasi Film Ri bags four awards at Itanagar NE Film Fest

SHILLONG: At the Film Northeast 2016 Itanagar, the Khasi film, Ri: Homeland of Uncertainty won four awards, best director Pradip Kurbah, best actor negative role Merlvin Mukhim, best actress Elgiva Shullai and best editor Lionel Fernandes.
Jahnu Barua’s Ajeyo won best cinematography award, while best film and best actor were shared by Katha from Sikkim.
Out of the seven awards, Ri won four. Speaking to media person,  Pradip Kurbah, who is returning from Itanagar on Sunday said he is humbled and also touched that two years after the movie’s release it is still getting recognition, this time for other team members as well.  The award was presented by Meghna Gulzar, director of Talvaar.
