Apex Bank opens branch in Krang village

SHILLONG:  Minister for Cooperation, H. D. R. Lyngdoh on Tuesday inaugurated the 49 branch of Meghalaya Cooperative Apex Bank (MCAB) at Krang village under Mawphlang C&RD Block.
Speaking on the occasion, Lyngdoh lauded the Apex Bank’s management for expanding the banking network especially to the unbanked rural areas of the State to nurture and encourage savings and thrift habit among the people.
Lyngdoh expressed hope that the Apex Bank will play a pivotal role in the promotion and strengthening of cooperatives societies in the areas.
Meghalaya Cooperative Apex Bank which was established in the year 1971, now has branches throughout the State.
