Jail term for three convicts

SHILLONG: One Dipak Sarkar accused of stealing from inside a godown at G.S. Road has been convicted and sentenced to one month simple imprisonment.
East Khasi Hills SP M. Kharkrang said that Sarkar was involved in a theft inside a godown at G.S Road on February 6 last year.
He was convicted U/S 380 IPC to one month simple imprisonment or payment of fine of Rs. 2000 in lieu of the imprisonment by Court of the Judicial Magistrate First Class, Shillong.
In another case, two persons accused of stealing car tyres from Umsohsun were convicted and sentenced to simple imprisonment for 5 months and 8 days.
The accused – Blestar Mawrie and Akash Thapa – were convicted by the Court of the Judicial Magistrate First Class, Shillong, for stealing car tyres from Umsohsun on September 7, 2015.
