JOWAI: A person was killed and several others were injured when a Tripura-bound night bus from Assam fell into a deep gorge at Ratacherra, East Jaintia Hills which is part of NH 44, early Wednesday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Saurakh Chaudhury (47) of Lalpur village. The Injured persons were shifted to Khliehriat CHC.The incident took place just after crossing Malidor weight bridge .
The incident has also caused heavy traffic snarl and people blamed bad road condition as the cause of mishap.
