One ‘assaulted’ by village head

SHILLONG: One Bony Kharumnuid was allegedly assaulted and strangulated by a village head and his friends at Nongpyngrope, Malki on Tuesday. The victim sustained injuries while the accused were arrested only to be released on bail later.
