Villagers apprehend dacoits

NONGSTOIN: Three dacoits who barged into the house of one Pynwanbor Kharbani at Mawdiangsnam on the night of March 3 armed with a country made revolver and looted Rs 5000, were apprehended by villagers on Sunday. The trio was handed over to police at Langpih.
The three have been identified as Esmel Swangre of Mawdiangsnam, Kanthli Thongni of New Nongstoin and Sharlien Swangre of Langpih.
The police seized the country made revolver from the house of Swangre. Meanwhile, police also arrested one Riphul Sing Nongsiej of New Nongstoin in this connection.
