GH NPP, Koch society condole Purno’s demise

TURA: The Garo Hills unit of the National People’s Party (NPP) has condoled the sudden demise of its leader and Tura MP, Purno A Sangma.
“He was a father, guide and source of inspiration to the district NPP fraternity. With his demise Garo Hills and the nation in general have lost an intelligent, honest, active, visionary, pioneer of education, a vibrant and philanthropic statesman whose void will be hard to fill,” a statement in this regard said.
A two- minute silence was also observed to pray for eternal peace of the departed soul and for the bereaved family members.
Meanwhile, the Senior Members Forum of Koch Society (SMFKS) of Meghalaya has also expressed shock and grief over the sudden demise of  Sangma.
“The country and the State of Meghalaya especially the people of Garo Hills have lost a great leader in the death of P A Sangma. The forum deeply mourns his untimely demise and convey its sincere and heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family. May his soul rest in peace,” it said.
