SHILLONG: In the aftermath of the Operation Hill Storm-III being launched against the militant outfits in Garo Hills, the GNLA has threatened to launch serial blasts if the security forces are not withdrawn from Garo Hills.
In a statement issued to a section of the press on Thursday, GNLA publicity secretary, Garo Mandei Marak criticized the pressure groups and church leaders for effecting surrenders of the GNLA cadres.
The GNLA alleged that the police are engaging in operations taking advantage of the peace talks offer inviting the cadres to gather at Durama Hills. The outfit also criticized Inspector General of Police GHP Raju and Chief Minister Mukul Sangma and said that they will be held responsible for any untoward incidents.
