State fashion designer to take part in Cultural Wing in London

SHILLONG: Daniel Syiem’s Ethnic Fashion House is all set to present a 4-day festival of North-East Indian craft, culture and music at the prestigious Cultural Wing of The High Commission of India, The Nehru Centre, London.
This is the first time an Indian Designer will be showcasing at such a prestigious international platform.
This event brings to focus the heritage Ryndia (Eri Silk) fabric of Meghalaya which is hand-woven by a community of Women Weavers of the indigenous tribes of Meghalaya.
Daniel Syiem’s Ethnic Fashion House has been working towards preserving this dying art of weaving by promoting the fabric through contemporary design interpretation by its fashion designer Daniel Syiem, all over the world.
