Birth anniversary of Sri Sri Ramakrishna Deva celebrated

SHILLONG:The Ramakrishna Mission Ashram, Cherrapunjee on Saturday celebrated the 181st birth anniversary of Sri Sri Ramakrishna Deva through a colourful function held at the Ramakrishna Mission Higher Secondary School, Sohra with Meghalaya Governor V. Shanmuganathan as chief guest asking the students to concentrate in their studies and not to waste time in chatting and wandering.
In his address to the hundreds of students gathered at the function, the Governor   stressed on the importance of student life and how it is instrumental in shaping a person’s future life. The Governor called upon the young minds to concentrate and focus their attention to education to enable them to achieve gainful employment in the future. “Concentrate on education. Do not chat and wander here and there. Parents and loved ones expect you to do well. Focus your attention to education so that you can fulfil their expectations by becoming someone in life”, he said.
“Be selfless, live for the poor, serve them in any capacity through whatever means you choose. Serve man, Serve God,” he said.
