North Shillong Block Cong body elects new team

SHILLONG: A meeting of the North Shillong Block Congress Committee was held at Congress Bhavan, Thana Road on Saturday.
A large number of party functionaries and supporters from all over the constituency attended and many office bearers were elected.
While the meeting elected Manbor Singh Warjri as the President, Vice Presidents are Sanlang Kharkongor, R L Shullai, and  Eleo Lyngdoh Mawphlang.
Roshan Warjri, local MLA and Home Minister who has been elected as the Advisor of the BCC addressed the gathering on the occasion.
The new general secretary and delegate to the MPCC is James S Lyngdoh, while  the treasurer is Hiva S Diengdoh
The six delegates who were elected to the Shillong City Congress Committee include  Arwan Tariang, Arbor Shullai,  Augustine Madur
Subhashish Roy, Merialda S Kharshiing, and Rhiedolcy Diengdoh
The meeting also elected ten secretaries to assist in the working and activities of the Block Congress Committee and fifty Executive Committee members representing all units and areas of the constituency.
Don Shullai was elected as the Convenor of the North Shillong Assembly constituency Youth Congress.
The BCC unanimously resolved to further strengthen the party, conduct various  programmes in the months ahead and to work  hard with unity for the best interests of the constituency in particular and all sections of the community at large.
Total enrollment and membership of the party from the different units of the constituency was also announced.
