SHILLONG: A one-day literary programme was jointly organized by Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi and the Nepali Sahitya Parishad, Shillong on March 20 at Gorkha Pathshala Higher Secondary School Auditorium.
The programme witnessed a symposium and poets’ meet in Nepali language. The chief guest was Nabasapcota, a veteran and renowned literary figure of Guwahati in Assam. The officer on special duty of Sahitya Akademi, Devendra Kumar Devesh highlighted the Akademi’s aims and objectives. The session was followed by a symposium in Nepali with the subject “Role of small Nepali Literary magazines in the society” and poets reciting their poems.
