SHILLONG: In the wake of rumblings within the Hima Mylliem due to alleged embezzlement of the Hima’s finances by Latho Manik Syiem and other irregularities, Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) Executive Member in-charge, Elaka, Lamphrang Blah, said that the District Council will take into account the pending issues after the culmination of Monolith Festival.
In view of the problems that have erupted in the Hima Mylliem, Blah said that KHADC will examine the matter and resolve the issues as the matter is yet to be addressed by the KHADC even after the Dorbar Pyllun has been convened for more than a month now.
“As of now, there have been talks on the various issues on three occasions; however, further talks will be held after the Monolith Festival of which the KHADC is a part. Meeting will be convened and decisions will be taken two weeks after the festival to finalize the matters of the Hima Mylliem,” Blah said.
