SHILLONG: The Mawsaw C&RD Block Demand Committee has submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner of South West Khasi Hills District, R Lyngdoh to set up a C&RD block at Mawsaw.
The committee led by Commander Shangpliang, chairman and Edelbert Iawphniaw, secretary met the DC and apprised her that the people of Mawsaw have been looking forward for the Government to set up a C&RD block for the progress of the region.
Shangpliang clarified that the region has every right to get a new block after the South West Khasi Hills was carved out as a new District recently which has 2 numbers of C& RD blocks.
The memorandum will be sent to the MLA of the area, and other political parties.
