Minorities Commission Member visits State

SHILLONG: Captain Praveen Davar, Member, National Commission for Minorities, was on a two-day visit to the State from March 30-31.
During the visit he met representatives of the minority community and discussed the programmes and benefits as listed under the Prime Minister’s 15 Point Programme. Views of the representatives were also noted by the Member. A meeting was also held with the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills and Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills, to take stock of the programme as envisaged in the PM’s 15 Point Programme.
