Two killed in seperate road mishaps
SHILLONG:  Two persons died in two separate road accidents across the state in last couple of days.
The accident took place on April 4 between one truck (AS-01-DD-1325) driven by Krotstar Kharsati (36) and a Maruti car (ML-04-6274) driven by Rabok Kurkalang at Thangshalai Shillong By-pass Road in East Khasi Hills.
In the incident, the driver and two occupants of the Maruti car sustained injuries and were shifted to Hospital. Later, one of the injured, Iainehskhemlang Kharkongor was referred to NEIGRIHMS where he died on Tuesday
In another incident, on April 2 noon, one Scorpio vehicle (ML-05-9094) driven by Land Langstieh (60), capsized at Mawthawpdah village (SWKH).
In the incident, the driver died on the spot, while two occupants sustained injuries and were shifted to CHC Mawkyrwat.
In yet another incident, two people sustained injuries when their car (ML05F – 6844) heading towards Shillong from Sohra hit a truck parked on the roadside at 12th Mile under Mylliem Block, East Khasi Hills, on April 4 at 6:30 PM.
The injured identified as Dimalu Daimari (24) and Arazul Khakalari (21) were shifted to Shillong Civil Hospital.
On April 4 around 8.30 pm, one Mahindra Scorpio vehicle (ML-05F-5999) driven by one Abel Mawlong (25 years) dashed against one stationary truck near Mattilang Park, Upper Shillong. As a result, the driver sustained injuries and was shifted to CH Shillong.
