One held for stealing garments  
One Ratan Lal Jhunjhunwala lodged a complaint that on April  5, one Vikas Masih was apprehended while stealing readymade garments from his Godown at Police Bazar.
Body recovered  from jungle
On April 5, body of Wisking Rongrin (24) was recovered from a jungle at Mawlangkew, West Khasi Hills.
Cattle theft foiled
On April 5, one Mowel Mynsong (50) and his accomplices attempted to steal cattle in at Mawpynthuh village (EKH). The residents apprehended him while others managed to escape. Police arrested the accused.
Youth brought dead
On April 5 at around 10 pm, one Samuel Roy Talang (20) of Lumkshaid, Mawprem was declared brought dead by the attending Medical Officer at Civil Hospital  Shillong.
