Villagers demand removal of Tura Circle Inspector

TURA: People from several villages in Rongramgre area of West Garo Hills along with Nokmas, Sordars, laskers and NGOs have filed a complaint against Tura Circle Inspector, Bitching N Marak with the West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner accusing him of harassing villagers.
According to the complaint the harassment of villagers was allegedly taking place in the villages of Dananggre, Kalchenggre, Rongramgre, Siloranggre, Danang Songgitcham and Rongbakgre all under Rongram Block.
The people claimed that incidents of assault against innocent villagers were taking place frequently and that random arrests were being made without proof of their involvement in any crime.
