SSA teachers serve ultimatum

SHILLONG: The teachers working under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) have served a three-month deadline to the State government to regularize their services
The decision was taken at the general meeting convened by the Meghalaya Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan School Association (MSSASA) at Jingkieng Nongthymmai here on Saturday.
Informing this, the MSSASA general secretary HM Marbaniang  said that they will be compelled to resort to agitation if their demand is not met.
The teachers are receiving a meager salary of Rs 9200.
Further, the MSSASA has also served a one-month ultimatum to the government to clarify on the notification issued by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) on January 1, 2014.
