Women set on fire, stabbed by husbands

SHILLONG: In a shocking incident, a married woman was  stabbed by her husband  here in the city on  Friday. The incident happened On April 15 around 9.30 pm,  when one Rajesh Pyngrope stabbed his wife (28) with a knife at Pynthorbah Block-I.
Victim sustained injuries and was shifted to hospital.
In another incident, on April  13, , one Pynshailang Nongspung (22 yrs) assaulted and set his wife on fire at Lumdiengmet, Umpling, causing injuries to her.
