JOWAI:  Jowai police have arrested one Meghalaya Police personnel for allegedly assaulting two women Homeguard personnel.
The arrest was made following a complaint lodged by one of the victims.
According to complaint lodged by Yoowanka Phai on Monday, the accused Trechanmi Lytan (26) of 5th Battalion posted at Williamnagar assaulted her while she was performing traffic duty at Iawmusiang.
Prior to this Lytan assaulted another Homeguard personnel Rimiki Bamon. According to the complaint, the accused was in inebriated condition.
