SHILLONG: Smile Foundation, Kolkata, a national level organisation has recognized and acknowledged the services rendered by SPARK for the underprivileged children in the field of education and towards social development as a whole in Meghalaya.
The team, which has been visiting the centre run by SPARK and monitoring it from time to time, found that it has brought about positive changes in the lives of many inspite of all the financial crises being faced by the organization.
Aiming to honour SPARK as well as to help the organization to render better services as well as to develop its infrastructure, Santanu Banik, Senior General Manager – Head, Smile Foundation Kolkata, in the presence of East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner P.S. Dkhar, handed over a cheque of Rs 50,000 to SPARK to develop its infrastructure as most of the educational centres run by SPARK are in need of maintenance which is not happening due to financial constraints.
On the occasion, the deputy commissioner also applauded the work carried out by SPARK towards social cause.
