Theft cases
On April 17, unknown miscreants committed theft at the office of Revenue Sub-Division and Distribution Sub-Division, MEPDCL, Nongstoin. An FIR in this regard has been lodged by P. Wahlang, AEE, MEPDCL, Nongstoin.
On April 16, unknown miscreants broke into the room of Asstistant Headmistress and Teachers’ Common Room of Church of God, LP School at Upper New Nongstoin (WKH), damaged the drawer and stole unspecified amount of money.
On April 20, one Md. Rakibul Islam was caught red-handed while stealing a roll copper strip, a barrel fuse along with wire valued around Rs. 40,000 from the office of District Industries and Commerce, Lumjingshai, Shillong.
On April 20, unknown miscreants stole Rs. 1 lakh from the shop of Balbender Singh Gona at Demseiniong, Shillong.
On April 19 at around 11.30 pm, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-05C-5494) belonging to Benedict Kharmawlong from his residence at 4th Mile, Upper Shillong.

Fake Fb account
Dr. Jaya Mishra lodged a complaint on April 21 that unknown miscreants created a Facebook account in her name showing Quarter No. B9/A Campus, NEIGRIHMS as her address without her knowledge with an intention to insult her modesty.

3 persons duped by fake job promise
Salme G Momin, Trychina G Momin and Simme Marak lodged complaints that one Samuel Marak collected money from them- Rs. 60,000, Rs. 65,000 and Rs. 54,000 respectively with a promise to offer them jobs at M/s Panacea Hospital Research Centre, Guwahati but failed to do so.
Belongings abandoned suspiciously
Rochindro Rabha lodged a complaint that on April 18, he along with other villagers met one Hebol R Marak and two others near Ashipara village in West Garo Hills and when the complainant tried to talk to them they abandoned their belongings at the place and fled away. During checking of their belongings, one country-made pistol was recovered which was later handed over to police.

Threat
Krispin Sangriang lodged a complaint that on April 9, six persons identified as Shiming Khardewsaw, Ioanis Diengngan, Anthony Umiong, Saraphina Ryntong, Swir Nongsiang and Krian Ryntong destroyed the fencing and signboard of his wine store at Mawdon-Wahlyngdoh village (WKH) and also threatened to set fire to his wine store.

Accidents
On April 19 at around 3.30 pm, two motorcycles collided at Mawiong, Shillong. As a result, rider of motorcycle Rickstar Nongrum (22) sustained injuries, while the other motorcycle fled away after the incident.
On April18, one unidentified motorcycle knocked down Catherine Umdor (58) at Pynthorbah, Block-II, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was shifted to CH Shillong.

On March 3 at around 2.30 pm, one tourist Tata Winger driven by Balajied Thangkhiew knocked down Aganchi Ch Momin at Mawiong Umjapung, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was removed to Dr. H. Gordon Robert Hospital, Jaiaw, Shillong.

Man assaulted
On April 16 at about 10.30 pm, two persons namely Alphon Shylla and Wan-I Pakyntein assaulted Md. Habizul Ali at Amsarim village (WJH). As a result, the victim sustained grievous injuries.

Fraud
Sulawanki Manner lodged a complaint that from April 7 to 11, he received several calls from a person who identified himself as Director of SBI and asked him about his ATM details. On April 11, he found that Rs. 1, 59,997  was fraudulently withdrawn from his account.
