Workshop
The department of Environmental Science, St. Edmund’s College in collaboration with Sri Ranmanujan Mission Trust (SRMT) Chennai, India & Indian Association of health, Research and Welfare will organize a one-day workshop on “Healing our Planet-Eco-sensitivity and Remediation” on April 22 from 10am to 5 pm in the college auditorium.
DIC, Bioinformatics Centre (Sponsored by DBT, GOI), NEHU will organise a training-cum-workshop on High Throughput Sequencing: Bioinformatics and Data Analysis from April 25-27.
Awareness campaign
The NEC will hold a weeklong awareness campaign entitled ‘NEC-Pink Chain Cancer Conclave, 2016’ in Shillong from April 23-29. Dr Jitendra Singh, Minister (Independence Charge), Ministry of DoNER and Chairman, NEC will inaugurate this conclave at NEC auditorium at 11 am.
Earth Day
On the occasion of Earth Day, the MBDA will conduct a cleaning drive at Umshing, Mawlai Kynton Massar on April 22. The cleaning drive will commence at 8 am. The programme will be flagged off by B.D.R. Tiwari , Secretary Planning and ED, MBDA.
Meditation
A healing and meditation programme will be held at Jail Road Boy’s School on April 23, 24 from 9 am-6 pm.
Special screening
Special screening of “Onaatah” will be held on April 28 at St Anthony’s College Auditorium at 2 pm.
