Prohibitory orders issued in WGH ahead of by-election

TURA: With the Election Commission announcing May 16 as the date for the holding of by-election to the Tura Lok Sabha seat, West Garo Hills District Magistrate, Pravin Bakshi has issued an order prohibiting certain activities.
The order prohibits wall writing, pasting of posters/papers, or defacement in any form, or erecting/displaying of cut outs, hoardings etc on any government premises, displaying of flags and banners in private premises except with voluntary written permission, displaying of flags and stickers in private vehicles causing inconvenience or distraction to other road users, displaying of flags etc on commercial vehicles unless such vehicle is validly used for election campaign with requisite permission from the District Election Officer/Returning Officer.
