Explosives in abandoned coal mine

SHILLONG: In one of the biggest hauls, East Jaintia Hills police   on Tuesday recovered 98 gelatine sticks and 703 electrical detonators from an abandoned coal mine in Umthe area in East Jaintia Hills.
Police said that electrical   detonators could be used to make   remote -controlled improvised explosive device (IED).
East Jaintia Hills police has been directed to carry out an investigation into the matter.
