Woman employee sacked at M’laya House

SHILLONG: The visitors to  Meghalaya House at Vasant Vihar, New Delhi have criticized the sudden  dismissal of a woman employee who was running a canteen there and the subsequent  appointment of a contractor in her place.The visitors said that the Khasi lady was running a canteen there for at least three years providing indigenous food, but a contract signed by the Resident Commissioner with one contractor identified as Ashok Bhatia with effect from April has deprived the woman of her livelihood. The visitors sought the intervention of GAD Minister HDR Lyngdoh into the issue
