Conrad’s plea to militants

SHILLONG: The NPP candidate for Tura by-poll  Conrad K Sangma has appealed  to all the militant groups in Garo Hills to give up arms and join the mainstream so that peace can prevail again in Garo Hills.
In a statement issued to the media  on Tuesday, Sangma said, “It was P A Sangma’s dream and endeavour to see peace prevails in Garo Hills. I also want to see his dream fulfilled. I appeal to those who have taken up arms to surrender themselves and come and join the mainstream. Let us work towards a better Garo Hills through the path of peace”.
