Four critically injured in vehicle collision

TURA: Four persons, including two policemen, have been seriously injured after the vehicle they were travelling on collided head on with a truck in Dudhnoi in the early morning hours of Thursday.
The Tata Sumo (ML-05 H 9538) transporting the daily newspaper of The Shillong Times and Salantini Janera from Shillong was heading for Tura with the consignment when the accident took place at approximately 3 AM.
The papers could not be distributed to Garo Hills on Thursday due to the accident.
The vehicle collided with a loaded truck coming from the Goalpara direction at Dudhnoi in which driver Bijoy Rabha and handyman Raju Pegu sustained multiple injuries. Two police personnel who happened to be travelling in the same vehicle were also seriously injured.
All four victims have been shifted to Guwahati for medical treatment with the driver continuing to be in critical condition.
