Tura: In another blow to GNLA chief Sohan D Shira, one of his closest aide and finance secretary Rakkam D Shira came overground on Saturday.
The GNLA leader, who looked after the financial operations of the outfit and was the area commander of coal rich Nangalbibra, surrendered with the help church and NGOs.
Rakkam Shira, also known as Rikchie, has reportedly surrendered with four other senior members.
They came away from their hideout with four AK rifles and other small weapons, sources said.
One of the senior members who accompanied Rakkam was Sacheng.
The proscribed outfit suffered a major blow on Wednesday when the entire Northern command of the outfit surrendered before Home Minister Roshan Warjri here.
