SHILLONG: The financial crunch has delayed the declaration of results for the past five years to the posts of as many as 200 helpers (Jugali) by Meghalaya Energy Corporation Limited (MeECL)
The is was made known to a delegation of  Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakening Movement (KHNAM) youth wing leaders who met the MeECL chairman P. S. Thangkhiew on Monday.
The KHNAM youth wing president Thomas Passah told reporters that as per MeECL official, the delay in declaring the results is due to financial constrains. However, according to KHNAM, while the MeECL department recently recruited as many as 36 assistant engineers, it neglected the appointment of helpers.
The KHNAM youth wing has also decided to meet the Power Minister Clement Marak shortly.
