SHILLONG: RTI activist Disparsing Rani on Wednesday alleged that the services of two muster roll employees working under the PWD Sohiong Sub-Division had been unceremoniously terminated.
Addressing a press conference here, Rani said, “Their services were terminated in May.”
The employees – Banshai Malngiang and Arson Malngiang – have alleged that politics was behind their termination.
Banshai said he had called the Section Officer, R.S. Syiem, who advised him over the phone to contact Ma Heh, better known as H.D.R. Lyngdoh, for resolving the issue.
Banshai joined service in 2009 and is scheduled to retire in 2047 while Arson who had joined on 2010 services will retire in 2049, as per a government notification issued on June 11, 2014, Rani claimed.
