SHILLONG: Cabinet minister A.L. Hek has condoled the death of former minister Nitya Narayan Simchang who passed away on Sunday at his residence at Dalu, West Garo Hills.
Hek said he had visited Simchang when he was undergoing treatment at the Tura Civil Hospital few months back.
Hek recalled that he and Simchang had won Assembly elections on BJP tickets in 1998 even as he remembered the contributions made by Simchang for the welfare of the State.
