SHILLONG:  Newly elected Tura MP Conrad Sangma has lavished praise on the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre which completed two years in office on Thursday.
Sangma was full of appreciation for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his team who, “have been excellent so far and have practiced clean governance without any scams.”
Addressing media persons here on Thursday, Sangma said that the NDA was on a positive track.
“Inflation has gone down and the Government is focusing on right areas,” the NPP leader added.  Reacting to a query, he said that the Centre now needs to focus on infrastructure development in the North East.
Stating that the region needs proper airports, Sangma also said that a road from North East to Kolkata via Bangladesh would do wonders for the area.
He also called for the need to set up more institutes and investment on sports activities in the region.
